After a lengthy hiatus following two EPs of fuzzed-out dream pop, ARE ESS returns with their first full length record. Stripping away much of the distortion of those previous efforts, ‘Onsen Egg’ is more experimental in nature (drawing some inspiration from kosmiche musik and the films of Andrei Tarkovsky) while retaining a clear pop sensibility.
